Walton Township, MO- Motorcyclists Injured in Crash at MO-8 & Harmon Rd
Walton Township, MO (October 10, 2021) – Two people were left injured following a motor vehicle accident in St. Francois County on Friday evening, October 8.
At around 5 p.m., authorities were requested at the scene of a traffic-related incident on Missouri Highway 8.
Reports from authorities show that a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 29-year-old Justin Cook, was traveling in the area of Missouri Highway 8, just west of Harmon Road, when it attempted to make a U-turn.
As the vehicle turned, Cook failed to yield the right of way to a 2014 Harley Davidson XL883 motorcycle. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the motorcycle, 41-year-old Jeremiah Fague, and his passenger, 39-year-old Jonathan Jacobs, were both injured in the crash. Both victims were transported to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Jeremiah Fague and Jonathan Jacobs at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
