Jackson Co, MO (September 16, 2021) – On Thursday, September 16th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a fatal accident involving a pedestrian in Blue Township.
The deceased has since been identified as 37-year-old Ocalla V. Snyder, a resident of Sugar Creek.
An investigation determined that the accident took place at about 12:30 a.m. on Truman Road in the area of Stark Avenue when a vehicle of undetermined make and model struck the victim as she attempted to cross the roadway.
The vehicle then fled the scene without stopping to render aid or notify police.
Snyder was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
