Jackson Township, MO (September 29, 2021) – One woman was hospitalized following a motor vehicle accident in Jasper County on Tuesday evening, September 28.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol was requested at the scene of an accident on South River Street just before 5 p.m.
Reports from MSHP Master Sgt. B. Helms indicate that a 1996 Ford F-150, driven by 18-year-old Hunter Parman struck the rear-end of a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta, which was driven by 58-year-old Karla Matson.
The impact of the crash caused Matson’s vehicle to crash into a 2001 Chevrolet Pickup truck, driven by 49-year-old Wesley Dannels. The Ford sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene. The Volkswagen was deemed totaled and towed by Hood’s Towing from the scene.
Matson sustained injuries in the accident. She was transported via ambulance to Mercy Carthage for further care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
