Jefferson, CO (September 27, 2021) – A 17-year-old female from the Cedar Hill area has lost her life as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Jefferson County early Sunday morning. At around 1:45 a.m., on September 26, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was requested on-site at a crash on Carol Park Road.
Reports from local authorities indicate that a 17-year-old female was driving a 2013 Ford Fusion north on Carol Park Road when the vehicle became involved in a collision near Woodland Drive. The Ford went off the road and struck a tree and a utility pole.
A 17-year-old female passenger in the car suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
18-year-old Jenna Viehland, the driver of the Ford, and a 17-year-old male passenger were all transported via ambulance to Mercy Hospital for care.
18-year-old Ross Carmickle was transported to Mercy Hospital via Survival Flight for the treatment of serious injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
