Johnson, MO (September 27, 2021) – 54-year-old Christopher Shinkle was hospitalized with serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Johnson County on Sunday morning.
At around 8:43 a.m., on September 26, calls for assistance came in surrounding an accident on Missouri Highway 13.
Reports provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that Shinkle was driving a 2019 Ford F-150 north on Missouri Highway 13. As he began to slow his vehicle near Highway HH, he was rear-ended by a 2017 Freightliner.
The driver of the Freightliner, 60-year-old Richard Markovic of Springfield, Missouri, was not injured in the accident.
Shinkle suffered serious injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center for the treatment of injuries.
The incident currently remains under investigation.
