Kansas City, MO (September 06, 2021) – Officers from the Kansas City Police Department said two people were killed by a wrong-way driver in a car accident on Interstate 29 on Monday, September 6th.
The collision occurred at about 5:30 a.m. when a car driven by a 23-year-old woman driving northbound drifted into the southbound lanes of traffic and crashed head-on into a car driven by a 60-year-old man.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The man was transported by paramedics to a local hospital, where he passed away due to his injuries.
No names have been released.
