Fatal Car Accidents in Kansas City

Millions of car accident victims endure serious injuries every year across the country as several thousand more lose their lives. Missouri saw 143,826 vehicle collisions in 2008 alone, generating a total of 1,326 victim fatalities.

In right-of-way accidents, there are normally opposing accounts of what happened because each driver thinks their decision was the right one. However, when a driver runs a red light, the fault is pretty clear and will likely pave the way for a wrongful death suit.

Missouri allows liability to be assigned in a few different ways, through things such as eyewitness accounts, discovery via opposing council, and the testimony of expert witnesses. Although the state assigns a very ample five-year statute of limitations in which to file your claim, it is important to speak with a personal injury attorney as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to prove your version of events and obtain full and fair financial compensation.
