Rock Port, MO (September 24, 2021) – Authorities have identified 71-year-old Rita A Sutton of Kadoka, South Dakota as the victim of the crash on Thursday evening in Rock Port. At around 4:45 p.m., on September 23, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on US Highway 136.
Reports from authorities show that Sutton was driving a 2017 Toyota Corolla on US Highway 136 when the vehicle collided with a 2019 Rom 1500 pickup truck near the intersection of Interstate 29.
The driver of the Dodge, 26-year-old Bryce A Roecker, was not injured in the accident.
Sutton was transported by Atchison Holt Ambulance to Nemaha County Hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
