Categorized as Truck Accidents

Rock Port, MO (September 14, 2021) – On Tuesday, September 14th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to investigate a fatal collision between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer in Atchison County.

The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old Scott B. Price, a resident of Tarkio.

Reports show that, at about 5:15 p.m., Price was traveling eastbound on US-136 in a 2001 Ford F150 pick-up truck behind a tractor-trailer driven by a 20-year-old woman from Rock Port. The two vehicles collided as the tractor-trailer attempted to make a lefthand turn across the roadway to access a private driveway.

The force of the impact caused the Ford to skid off of the roadway and come to an uncontrolled stop in a ditch.

Price was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck operator was transported by Atchison Holt Ambulance to Nemaha County Hospital in Nebraska.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim, Mr. Scott B. Price, at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and her family in hopes of a full recovery.

Tractor-Trailer Accidents in Rock Port

After a tractor-trailer accident, many victims face a long road to recovery. This includes rigorous physical rehabilitation and continuing medical treatments. Their medical bills will steadily grow, as will any associated damages like missed wages from being unable to work.

Regrettably, a lot of victims in this situation panic. They agree to the first settlement offer the insurance company proposes without considering their future. They don’t know the full scope of their medical expenses or even the full extent of their injuries. This leaves them to pay for everything else out of pocket.

Securing the legal representation of an experienced Missouri tractor-trailer accident attorney is crucial to your claim’s success. An attorney will know how to calculate what expenses you will face in the future. Reliable legal representation increases your odds of obtaining full financial compensation for your losses.
