St. Charles, MO (September 29, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized following a motor vehicle accident in St. Charles, Missouri on Tuesday morning, September 28.
At around 9:42 a.m., a 2006 Nissan Sentra was traveling in the number two lane of eastbound Interstate 70. At the same time, a 2020 Ford Escape was traveling in the number three lane of the same roadway.
As the Ford attempted to switch lanes just east of First Capitol Drive, the two vehicles collided.
The incident left two people injured. The victims, 63-year-old Janet Clore and 77-year-old Lawrence Smith were both transported to SSM Health St Joseph Hospital in St. Charles for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
