St. Francois Co, MO – Jessica Powers Critically Injured in Two-Car Accident on US-67 Near SR-Dd

St. Francois Co, MO (September 23, 2021) – A woman was seriously injured during a two-car accident on Thursday, September 23rd in St. Francois County

Reports show that the accident took place in the northbound lanes of US-67, in the area of State Route Dd.

39-year-old Jessica Powers, a resident of Poplar Bluff, was driving northbound in her 2019 Jeep Cherokee when another vehicle blew its front right tire. This caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, which then left the roadway.

Powers attempted to avoid the vehicle but ended up striking the rear.

The impact forced both vehicles off the roadway. Powers’ Jeep was launched into the cable median barrier.

She was med flighted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by Air Evac. in critical condition.
