Birch Tree, MO (April 2, 2022) – Two people were left injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Shannon County on Wednesday afternoon. Just after 3:20 p.m., on March 30, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US Highway 60.
Reports provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2004 Ford F-150 and a 2012 Chevrolet pickup truck were involved in an accident on US Highway 60 near US Highway 99. The incident left both vehicles totaled.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 63-year-old Leeman Reeves, and a passenger in the Ford, 73-year-old Norma Thornton, were both injured. EMS transported Reeves to Mercy Springfield for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
