Buffalo Township, MO (April 30, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Buffalo Township area has claimed the lives of two victims. At around 11:55 p.m., on April 28, calls for assistance came in surrounding a two-vehicle wreck that blocked the westbound side of US Highway 54.
Reports provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2005 Toyota Matrix and a 2000 Chevrolet S-10 collided on US Highway 54 just one-half mile east of Pike County Road 279. The incident caused moderate delays in the area as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles were fatally injured. They were identified as 22-year-old Caleb Perez of Louisiana, Missouri and 44-year-old Jason Hagaman of Louisiana, Missouri.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
