Fordland, MO (April 9, 2022) – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Fordland area that sent two people to area hospitals with injuries. At around 7:50 a.m., on April 9, calls for assistance came in surrounding an auto accident on Route Z.
Reports provided by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper J Philpott show that a 2012 Ford Escape and a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am collided on Route Z just three miles southeast of Fordland.
The crash left both vehicles with significant damage, requiring them to be towed from the scene.
Two people involved in the crash were injured. EMS transported 27-year-old Akayla Singleton and 28-year-old Jovanna Duckworth to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for emergency medical care.
