Franklin, MO (April 21, 2022) – A bicyclist was left seriously injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the Franklin area on Tuesday evening, April 19. At around 6:35 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Route AT.
Reports provided by MSHP Trooper C Brown show that 53-year-old Dee Clark was riding a bicycle on the shoulder of Route AT near Route M. For unknown reasons, the bicyclist was struck by a 2019 Ford Transit van.
Clark sustained serious injuries in the accident. He was transported by Meramec EMS to Mercy Hospital in St Louis for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
