Jefferson, MO (April 15, 2022) – One man was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries as a result of a crash in the Jefferson area. At around 6:55 a.m., on April 14, calls for assistance came in surrounding an auto accident on US Highway 67.
Reports provided by local authorities show that a 2006 Ford Fusion and a 2016 Jeep Patriot were both traveling north on US Highway 67. As the Jeep began to slow down due to traffic in the area of Highway CC, the vehicle was struck in the rear by the Ford.
The driver of the Jeep, 51-year-old Eric Pierce, sustained moderate injuries in the accident. Pierce was transported to Mercy Hospital in Jefferson for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
