Jefferson, MO (April 6, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Jefferson area sent several people to area hospitals with injuries. At around 12:45 p.m., on April 5, calls for assistance came in surrounding an auto accident on US Highway 67.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2013 GMC Sierra was attempting to make a left turn onto northbound US Highway 67 near Montauk Drive when the vehicle collided with a 2016 Toyota Avalon.
A total of four people involved in the crash were injured. EMS transported 63-year-old Mary Coomer, 22-year-old Hanna Poplawski, 18-year-old Kheira Gilchrist, and a 17-year-old male to Mercy Hospital for medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
