Lee’s Summit, MO (April 3, 2022) – An automobile accident reported in Jackson County left two people injured. At around 4:20 p.m., on April 2, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Interstate 470.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2009 Honda was traveling on the southbound side of Interstate 470. As the vehicle’s driver attempted to change lanes just north of Woods Chapel Road, it struck a 2020 Buick.
The driver of the Buick, 87-year-old Calvin Molt, and his passenger, 41-year-old Sarah Horne, were both injured in the accident. The two victims were transported to St Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
