Lincoln, MO (April 2, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Lincoln, Missouri left one man injured early Friday evening, April 1. At around 4:05 p.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US Highway 61.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2018 Jeep Renegade and a 2009 Pontiac 5 were involved in an accident on the southbound side of US Highway 61 just north of Franke Drive.
The incident left both vehicles totaled, requiring them to be towed from the scene.
The driver of the Pontiac, 37-year-old Shawn Cole, sustained injuries in the accident. Cole was transported by Lincoln County Ambulance District to SSM Health St Joseph Hospital Lake St Louis for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
