Oak Grove, MO (April 3, 2022) – Multiple people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident in Lafayette County on April 2.
At around 12:50 p.m., authorities were dispatched to the scene of an accident on Interstate 70.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports show that the driver of a 2007 Mercury Malin lost control of their vehicle on Interstate 71 near mile marker 31. As a result, the vehicle collided with a 2015 Jeep Wrangler head-on. The impact of the crash caused the two vehicles to strike a 2017 Honda Accord.
Three people involved in the crash were injured. EMS transported 21-year-old Jonathan Skagg, 46-year-old Michelle Wilhelm, and 53-year-old Tonja Stockton to Research Hospital for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
