Rolla, MO (April 1, 2022) – One person has been injured as a result of a truck accident in Phelps County. At around 12:10 a.m., on March 31, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Interstate 44.
Reports from authorities show that a collision between vehicles occurred on the westbound side of Interstate 44 in the area just six miles west of Rolla. Preliminary investigations show that a 2019 Freightliner rear-ended a 2008 Ford F-350. The impact of the crash sent both vehicles off the right side of the road.
The Freightliner then overturned and came to rest facing north.
The driver f the Ford, 54-year-old Jose Rivera, sustained injuries in the accident. He was transported to Phelps Health for emergency care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
