Car Accidents in Missouri
Thousands of motorists are involved in collisions throughout Missouri each year. Although not all accidents end in catastrophic injuries, a fair share of these accidents force victims into area hospitals. In many cases, victims sustain broken bones, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and various other life-changing injuries that require extensive medical treatment.
Although most motorists are careful and considerate of other motorists sharing the road, we see many accidents occur due to driver error. In fact, over 80% of collisions involve some form of negligence.
In Missouri, some of the leading causes of crashes include:
- Drivers who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Drivers who are speeding
- Drivers who fail to yield the right of way
- Drivers who are distracted by phones and other objects
These and other acts of negligence often lead to life-altering crashes that force victims out of work for several weeks. When victims are harmed in accidents, through no fault of their own, they may have legal options available to recover. Working with a responsive Springfield car accident attorney can help to ensure you are in the best position possible to get justice.
