Blue Springs, MO (August 1, 2022) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a crash in Jackson County that left one teen injured. Around 7:25 p.m., on July 31, emergency assistance was requested on-site at a crash on Interstate 70.

Reports provided by authorities show that a rear-end collision between a 2017 Chevrolet in a 2017 Ford occurred on the westbound side of Interstate 70 just west of Missouri State Route 7. Both vehicles sustained significant damage due to the vehicle collision.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 18-year-old Ayden Doneyson, was injured in the accident. Doneyson was provided medical care at the scene before being transported by ambulance to Centerpoint Hospital, where he underwent further treatment for moderate injuries.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
