Callaway, MO – Michael Byrd & George Byrd Injured in Motorcycle Crash on I-70 near Cedar Creek Dr

Callaway, MO (August 15, 2022) – A crash that took place in Callaway County left two people injured. Just after 9:30 p.m., on August 12, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a crash occurred on Interstate 70 that required assistance.

Investigations show that a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a second vehicle were both traveling westbound on Interstate 70 during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided in the area of Cedar Creek Drive.

The motorcycle then collided with a guardrail on the roadway. 

EMS rendered aid to 53-year-old Michelle Byrd and 55-year-old George Byrd at the scene. George Byrd was then transported to University Hospital for further treatment.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
