Ellington, MO – One Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on US-60

Ellington, MO (August 7, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Carter County ended in injuries. At around 4:05 p.m., on August 4, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a collision took place on US Highway 60.

Reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that a 2013 Nissan Altima became involved in a collision with the 2013 Ford F250 pickup truck on US Highway 60 just east of Van Buren, Missouri. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and had to be removed from the scene.

The driver of the Nissan, 80-year-old Wesley Oakley, suffered injuries as a result of the crash. Oakley was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital, where he underwent emergency treatment.

The crash is under investigation at this time.
