Grand Pass, MO (August 3, 2022) – One woman has lost her life as a result of a truck accident that occurred in Pettis County. At around 9:50 p.m., on August 2, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a crash took place on Missouri State Route 127.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2022 Mack Pinnacle T-boned a 2018 GMC Acadia on Missouri State Route 127 at the intersection of Highway Y. Both vehicles then went off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The two vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to being total due to the crash.
The driver of the GMC, 84-year-old Virginia Taylor, suffered fatal injuries. She was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of her injuries. The driver of the truck, 40-year-old Thomas Hurst, was transported by University of Missouri air ambulance to the University of Missouri hospital for emergency care.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash at this time.
