Hannibal, MO (August 17, 2022) – A bicyclist was fatally injured due to a vehicle crash that occurred in Ralls County. Just before 11 p.m., on August 14, crews were called to a crash that blocked US Highway 61.
Reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol show that 30-year-old Nicholas Clark was riding a bicycle on US Highway 61, when he was struck by a vehicle just one mile south of Hannibal, Missouri. MSHP and firefighters blocked a large portion of the road while working to clear the scene and initiate an investigation into the accident.
The bicyclist suffered severe injuries in the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Deputy Coroner Austin Simmons. No other injuries were reported due to this crash.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation at this time.
