Kansas City, MO – Two-Vehicle Crash on US-24 near I-435 Leaves One Injured

Kansas City, MO (August 9, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Jackson County left one woman injured on Monday afternoon. At around 2 p.m., on August 8, the Missouri State Highway Patrol received a notification that a crash took place on US Highway 24.

Reports surrounding the accident show that a rear-end collision between a 2001 Toyota Camry and a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 occurred on the eastbound side of US Highway 24 under Interstate 435. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to the extent of damages.

The driver of the Toyota, 59-year-old Sherri Wist, was injured as a result of the crash. Wist, who is from Pleasant Valley, Missouri, was transported to North Kansas City Hospital by EMS where she underwent treatment for her injuries.

The crash is under investigation at this time.
