Matthews, MO (August 19, 2022) – A woman from Sikeston, Missouri, was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following a crash in New Madrid County. At around 11:20 a.m., on August 17, emergency crews were notified that an auto accident took place on US Highway 61.
Reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2020 Freightliner M2 and a 2012 Ford Escape collided on US Highway 61, just three miles south of Matthews, Missouri. The incident left the Ford totaled.
The driver of the Ford, 36-year-old Jennifer Diamond, was transported by ambulance to St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, for further care.
The crash is under investigation at this time.
