New Madrid City, MO – Two-Vehicle Crash with Injuries Reported on US-61 near Route U

New Madrid City, MO (August 15, 2022)- One man was transported to a local hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident in New Madrid City. At around 2:08 p.m., on August 14, calls for assistance came in surrounding an auto accident on US Highway 61.

Reports from local authorities show that a crash between a 2020 Ford F-250 and a 2013 Ford Taurus occurred on US Highway 61 in the area near Route U. The incident left both vehicles with moderate damage, requiring them to be removed from the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, 51-year-old Bradley Tanner, suffered injuries in the accident. He was transported to Missouri Delta in Sikeston, Missouri, by New Madrid County ambulance for further care.

The incident remains under investigation.
