Nixa, MO (August 12, 2022) – One man was left injured as a result of a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Christina County on Tuesday afternoon. At around 3:35 p.m., on August 9, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that their assistance was needed at a traffic incident that blocked US Highway 160.
Reports from authorities show that a 2015 Nissan Frontier and a 2011 GMC Acadia collided on US Highway 160, just one-half mile north of Nixa, Missouri. The incident caused some disruptions throughout the area as MSHP and firefighters blocked off a portion of the roadway.
EMS rendered aid to one person who suffered injuries due to this crash. The victim, 57-year-old Oswaldo Goyes Herrera of Springfield, Missouri, was then transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for further evaluation.
The crash circumstances are under investigation at this time.
