Car Accidents in Missouri

Palmyra, MO – Woman Left Injured Following Auto Wreck on US-61Vehicle collisions take place daily that change the lives of those involved. Unfortunately, a significant number of people are left with severe and traumatic injuries that require extensive treatment. The severity of the injury that victims suffer from as a result of collisions will depend on various factors. These can include:

  • Where was the point of impact?
  • Was the person who suffered injuries wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash?
  • Was the accident a low-speed collision, or did it take place at a high speed?
  • Was the injured party facing straight ahead or were they turning around in the seat?

Unfortunately, there are two categories that most injuries from motor vehicle accidents fall under. These include impact injuries and penetrating injuries.

Impact injuries are those that are typically caused by a person’s body striking an object inside of the vehicle during the crash. For example, ahead striking a steering wheel or an arm striking a window.

The second type of injury, penetrating injuries, typically involve cuts, scrapes, and other severe injuries that are caused by shattering glass or even loose objects flying around in the vehicle.

Any type of injury has the potential to cause serious and life-altering consequences for victims. If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident, a car accident lawyer from Palmyra will be able to help you pursue a personal injury case against the responsible party.
