Sparta, MO – Rose Thompson Transported to Mercy Hospital after Crash on MO-14

Sparta, MO (August 4, 2022) – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in Christian County that left one woman seriously injured. At around 6 p.m., on August 3, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a collision occurred on Missouri State Route 14.

Reports provided by authorities show that a 2020 Dodge Journey pulled into the path of a 2004 Pontiac Grand AM on Missouri State Route 14, just one mile east of Sparta, Missouri. As a result, the Pontiac was struck in the side by the Dodge.

Two people involved in the accident were injured. 30-year-old Brittney Brown was rendered aid at the scene by EMS. The second victim, 65-year-old Rose Thompson, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, for the treatment of serious injuries.

Investigations into the crash are underway at this time.
