Springfield, MO (August 28, 2022) – A juvenile female was left with moderate injuries after being struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter in Greene County. At around 3:20 p.m., on August 25, officers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified that a crash on Farm Road 115 required assistance.
Preliminary investigations show that a 17-year-old female was riding a 2021 Zhejiang 49CC scooter on Farm Road 115, just one mile west of Springfield, Missouri. For unknown reasons, she was struck by a 2007 Dodge Caliber.
The teen suffered significant injuries due to the crash. She was transported by Mercy ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, where she underwent emergency medical treatment.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
