Investigative reports from MSHP troopers Z Micks indicate that a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a 2007 Acura TL, and a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck were all traveling eastbound on Interstate 70. As the Jeep stopped in traffic and the Acura slowed for traffic ahead, the driver of the Dodge failed to keep a proper lookout. As a result, the Dodge crashed into the rear of the Acura near Cave Springs Road.

The impact of the collision caused the front of the Acura to strike the rear of the Jeep.

The driver of the Jeep, 67-year-old Steven Sudbeck, suffered injuries due to the crash. Sudbeck was transported to Barnes Jewish St. Peter’s Hospital by St. Charles County Ambulance District, where he was treated for injuries.

The crash is under investigation at this time.

Our thoughts are with Steven Sudbeck as we hope for his full recovery.
