St Louis, MO (August 12, 2022) – A vehicle crash took place in the St Louis area on Wednesday evening that left one woman injured. At around 6:15 p.m., on August 10, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to an auto accident on Interstate 70.
MSHP reports show that a 2019 Nissan Sentra and a 2007 Peterbilt 6×4 collided on the westbound side of Interstate 70. The incident caused delays just east of Lucas and Hunt Road.
MSHP closed off a portion of the roadway as they worked to clear the scene.
The driver of the Nissan, 22-year-old Desiree Townson, was left injured due to the accident. She was transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital by Northeast Fire Protection District for further treatment and evaluation.
The crash is under investigation by MSHP at this time.
