Union Township, MO – Caleb Whaley & Jacob Mitchell Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Highway F near Pecos Dr

Union Township, MO (August 3, 2022) – A motorcycle accident reported in like lead County sent two men to area hospitals with significant injuries. At around 11:10 p.m., on August 2, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a crash had occurred on Highway F.

Reports provided by MSHP trooper SJ Hallam show that a rear-end collision between a 1992 Kawasaki ZX1100 and a 2021 Honda CB 500 occurred on Highway S, just north of Pecos Drive. Both vehicles were total due to the crash and had to be removed from the scene by Paul’s Towing.

The two drivers involved in the crash were injured. Mercy ambulance transported 22-year-old Caleb Whaley to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri, for emergency treatment. The second driver, 28-year-old Jacob Mitchell, was airlifted by Mercy Life Line to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, for the treatment of serious injuries.

The crash is under investigation at this time.
