Reports provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that at around 4:24 p.m., a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling on Missouri State Route 52 just west of South Willow Creek. As the vehicle slowed down to make a left turn, a 2018 Freightliner crashed into the rear of the vehicle
The impact of the crash caused debris to spread along the roadway, some of which some struck a 1989 Nissan D21. The Freightliner and the Chevrolet had to be towed from the scene as a result of the damages that both vehicles suffered in the crash.
Two people inside of the Chevrolet were injured. EMS rendered aid to 58-year-old Linda Nichols and 65-year-old Harold Moore at the scene. The two victims were then transported by Mid Missouri Ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for emergency treatment.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
Our thoughts are with Linda Nichols and Harold Moore at this time.

Rubbernecking: When drivers look at other things on the roadway rather than paying attention to the road ahead, they can get distracted easily. This can result in a serious accident taking place that results in serious injuries.
Defective auto parts: When you have defective parts on your vehicle, your vehicle can be considered unsafe. You should watch out for defects like defective airbags, defects in the tires, and brake issues. These problems can lead to severe crashes that cause significant injuries to those involved.
Drunk driving: When people are under the influence while behind the wheel, it can have dangerous consequences for others. Drinking while driving can bring out a whole host of issues. Unfortunately, driving while intoxicated can increase your chances of being involved in an accident by nearly 900%.
