Bell City, MO – Three Injured in Auto Accident on Route P near Route Y

Bell City, MO (December 2, 2022) – Several people were treated for injuries following a motor vehicle accident that took place in Stoddard County on Thursday evening. At around 5:20 p.m., on December 1, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an accident on Route P.

According to law enforcement, the driver of a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling on Route P at the intersection of Route Y. As a result, the vehicle pulled into the path of a 2008 Dodge Caravan, causing the two vehicles to crash into each other. Both vehicles were significantly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Three people were injured as a result of the crash. The victims were identified as 27-year-old Ashleigh Sauceda, 24-year-old Elaina Turner, and a 4-year-old boy. The victims were transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, for emergency medical care.

The crash remains under investigation.
