Clinton, MO (December 4, 2022) – A traffic accident took place in Henry County on Saturday afternoon that left two people injured. Just after 3:15 p.m., on December 3, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Missouri State Route 13.
According to law enforcement, a 2014 Nissan Sentra and a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan were both traveling northbound on Missouri State Route 13. For reasons unknown, the driver of the Nissan attempted to overtake the Dodge. As a result, the Nissan crashed into the rear of the Dodge near County Road Northwest 400. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash. Two victims suffered injuries as a result of the vehicle collision.
The victims were identified as 21-year-old Owen Hopper of Springfield, Missouri, and 49-year-old Charles Willis of Clinton, Missouri. Both victims are transported by Golden Valley EMS to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, where they were provided further care.
The incident remains under investigation.
