Kearney, MO – Six Injured in Vehicle Wreck on I-35 near 128th St

Kearney, MO (December 3, 2022) – A motor vehicle crash took place in Clay County that left several people injured. At around 1155 a.m., on December 3, the Missouri State Highway Patrol went to a crash that took place on Interstate 35.

According to reports, a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck became involved in a collision on the northbound side of Interstate 35 just south of 128th Street. The vehicle was left totaled after overturning over an embankment.

A total of six people suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The victims were identified as poor juvenile females, ages 15, 16, 17, and 17, an 18-year-old female, identified as Emily Kephart, and a 14-year-old male.

All six victims were transported to Liberty Hospital, where they underwent treatment for the injuries they suffered. The crash remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol at this time.
