Car Accidents in Missouri
Car crashes in Missouri leave thousands of people injured every month. Unfortunately, many of these accidents are a result of drivers who engage in acts of negligence while behind the wheel. According to a study by the National Safety Council, nearly 15% of all car crashes are caused by drivers who fail to yield the right of way.
This is an especially serious problem at intersections, where most car crashes occur. The Department of Transportation found that more than half of all car crashes involving two or more vehicles take place at intersections.
There are a number of reasons why drivers fail to yield the right of way. In some cases, they may not see another vehicle coming and mistakenly think they have the right of way. In other cases, they may be impatient and try to beat another vehicle through an intersection even though they don’t have the right of way.
Whatever the reason, failing to yield the right of way is one of the leading causes of car crashes. Drivers need to be extra cautious at intersections and always yield the right of way to oncoming traffic, even if they think they have the right of way.
Unfortunately, accidents take place every day that result in severe injuries for those involved. If you’ve been injured as a result of a car accident, you may be able to seek financial compensation from the responsible party. It is important that you reach out to a skilled legal team right away.
