Miller, MO – Two Injured in Auto Wreck on MO-52 near Hickey Rd

Miller, MO (December 8, 2022) – Authorities in Miller County responded to the scene of a traffic accident that took place on Wednesday afternoon that left two people injured. At around 2:45 p.m., on December 7, emergency crews were called to the scene of a traffic accident on Missouri State Route 52.

According to law enforcement, a 2009 Sportage crashed into the rear of a 2002 Mercury Sable on Missouri State Route 52, just 62 feet east of Hickey Road. The impact of the crash caused the Kia to go off the roadway and overturn.

Two people suffered injuries as a result of the crash. EMS transported 28-year-old Jessica Wright to Capital Region Hospital, where she underwent treatment for her injuries. The second victim, 52-year-old Janelle Matthews, was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital.

The incident remains under investigation.
