  • Internal organ injuries.

  • Spinal cord injuries.
  • Neck and soft tissue injuries.

  • Cuts and lacerations.

Regrettably, people often suffer these injuries as a result of crashes that are caused by negligence. Leading factors in vehicle crashes across our state include:

  • Distracted driving: This has become one of the leading causes of car accidents in recent years. With the proliferation of devices like cell phones and GPS units, drivers are more distracted than ever before. Even something as simple as adjusting the radio can take your eyes off the road and lead to an accident.

  • Drunk driving: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is always a major hazard. impaired judgment and reflexes can lead to serious accidents.
  • Speeding: Going too fast for conditions is a recipe for disaster. If you’re driving too fast for the weather, traffic, or road conditions, you increase your chances of losing control and crashing.
  • Fatigue: Drowsy driving is extremely dangerous. If you’re tired, take a break or pull over and rest. It’s not worth risking your life (or anyone else’s) by trying to push on through when you’re sleepy.
  • Weather: Inclement weather can make driving treacherous. Slick roads from rain or snow can cause accidents, as can low visibility due to fog or dust storms. If the conditions are bad, it’s best to stay off the road until they improve.
