Fatal Car Accidents in Missouri
Despite the number of laws we have in place across our state to protect motorists, hundreds of people continue to lose their lives each year as a result of fatal crashes in Missouri. Unfortunately, there are a significant number of fatal crashes that are caused by drivers who are negligent.
One of the most common causes of fatal car crashes is speeding. Speeding drivers are more likely to lose control of their vehicles, and they are also more likely to be involved in head-on collisions.
Impaired driving is another major cause of fatal car accidents. Drivers who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol are much more likely to cause accidents than sober drivers. Impaired driving can include anything from drunk driving to drugged driving.
Distracted driving is another leading cause of fatal car crashes. Distracted driving can include anything from texting while driving to eating while driving. When drivers take their eyes off the road, they are more likely to cause accidents.
