Sikeston, MO (December 6, 2022) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a traffic accident took place in Scott County that resulted in injuries for multiple victims. At 4 p.m., on December 5, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to a collision on Route BB.

According to law enforcement, a 2012 Ford focus and a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo collided on Route BB in the Sikeston area. The impact of the collision caused the Chevrolet to then strike multiple signs along the roadway before coming to rest. Both vehicles were severely damaged as a result of the crash.

Seven people were hurt as a result of the crash. There were four juvenile victims, a 2-year-old boy, a 4-year-old boy, a 5-year-old girl, and a 6-year-old boy, 29-year-old Shelbie Wagner, 45-year-old Christina Gremard, and 51-year-old Jerry Stanley. Gremand was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The other six victims were transported by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri, for emergency care.
