St Charles, MO – Michael Roith & Laura Acevedo Hurt in Truck Crash on I-70 near Highway Z

St Charles, MO (December 1, 2022) – Authorities are actively investigating a crash that took place in the St. Charles area that left two people injured. At around 5:50 a.m., on November 30, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident on Interstate 70.

According to reports, the driver of a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia attempted to change lanes on traveling on the eastbound side of Interstate 70. As a result, it crashed into a 2017 Honda Accord just west of Highway Z. The Honda was severely damaged in the accident and had to be towed from the scene.

Two people in the Honda, 31-year-old Michael Roith and 38-year-old Laura Acevedo, were both injured. The two victims were transported by ambulance to SSM Health Depaul Hospital, where they underwent treatment for serious injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
