Franklin, MO (February 24, 2022) – An auto accident reported in Franklin County on Wednesday afternoon, February 23, ended in injuries. At around 2:20 p.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Missouri State Route 100.
Reports provided by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Z.T. Chastain indicate that a collision involving a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta, a 2011 Toyota Yaris, and a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze occurred on Missouri State Route 100 near the area of Thornton Road.
The incident caused significant delays in the area.
The Volkswagen came to rest in the roadway facing south. The Chevrolet went off the roadway and came to rest facing west. The Toyota came to rest blocking the roadway while facing west.
A total of two people were injured. EMS transported 27-year-old Adan Iracheta to Mercy Hospital St Louis for care. A second EMS unit transported 57-year-old Dale Strothkamp to Mercy Hospital Washington for treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
