Franklin, MO (February 11, 2022) – One woman was hospitalized with moderate injuries as a result of a traffic-related incident in the Franklin area on Thursday morning, February 10.
At around 10:55 a.m., emergency crews were notified that a collision between vehicles occurred on Missouri State Highway 30.
Reports from authorities show that a 2013 Chevrolet Captiva and a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox were both traveling east on Interstate 44 when they became involved in a collision near the site of a previous crash by Teabox Drive.
The driver of the Chevrolet Captiva, 71-year-old Carolyn Straatmann, was injured in the crash. Straatmann was transported by St Clair Ambulance to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
