Hayti, MO (February 6, 2022) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Hayti on Thursday evening. At around 7 p.m., on February 3, emergency crews received the request for assistance on-site at a crash on Interstate 55.
Reports from Highway Patrol CPL T P Watson show that a collision between a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2020 Freightliner tractor-trailer occurred on the southbound side of Interstate 55 just five miles south of Hayti.
The Chevrolet was totaled in the crash and had to be towed from the scene.
EMS rendered aid to 31-year-old Regal Johnson and 32-year-old Rasheena Tipler at the scene. Both victims were transported to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital for further assistance.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
